Moral Evil

Moral evil is the harm human beings choose: violence, abuse, exploitation, betrayal, and cruelty.

It is different from suffering caused by nature, because it has a moral dimension: responsibility, guilt, and the need for justice.

Why Naming Evil Matters

If we cannot name evil, we cannot heal. The Christian story does not call evil good. It calls it what it is, and it insists that God’s love is not sentimental but truthful.

Hope Beyond the Damage

Christian hope says forgiveness is possible without denying harm, and that justice will not be lost. God can redeem what evil tried to destroy.

Where Theology Meets Real Life
