New atheism

New atheism has been forceful in tone and influential in public debate. This is where many conversations either open up or shut down.

It argues that religion is irrational, harmful, and best left behind by intelligent people.

The Challenge Behind New Atheism

Some critiques are worth hearing, especially where religion has failed morally. But dismissing faith does not remove questions about meaning, conscience, and moral obligation.

Questions It Still Cannot Escape

A serious conversation should test every worldview, including atheism itself. If we care about truth, we should ask which account of reality best explains the full human experience.

If we get this right, we become harder to manipulate by fear and easier to guide by wisdom. That is part of mature Christian witness in a culture that is often noisy, reactive, and deeply wounded.

Where Theology Meets Real Life

If you are looking to take these truths from your head to your heart—especially as we navigate the heavy realities of pain, trauma, and trying to live faithfully in a broken world—I want to invite you to explore my book, Forgiveness. Together, we look closely at one of the most challenging yet profoundly restorative commands of Jesus, discovering how it is possible to find healing and hope even when it feels impossible.
