The Fall is the Christian way of describing humanity’s turning from God: the beginning of sin’s damage in the human heart and in the world.
It explains why we are capable of beauty and also capable of harm, and why brokenness shows up in relationships, cultures, and even our own desires.
If we misunderstand the Fall, we often misunderstand ourselves. We either become cynical about humanity or naive about evil. The Christian story is realistic about both dignity and sin.
The Fall is not the final chapter. It sets the stage for redemption: God moving toward a broken world with mercy and truth.
If you are looking to take these truths from your head to your heart—especially as we navigate the heavy realities of pain, trauma, and trying to live faithfully in a broken world—I want to invite you to explore my book, Forgiveness. Together, we look closely at one of the most challenging yet profoundly restorative commands of Jesus, discovering how it is possible to find healing and hope even when it feels impossible.
